New Nutrition & Biosciences Business will accelerate growth and innovation.
DowDuPont Specialty Products Division (DuPont) is combining their business divisions Nutrition & Health and Industrial Biosciences into a $6.2 billion business division called Nutrition & Biosciences.
The new business will benefit from complementary expertise and skills in the areas of food enzyme production, human and animal microbiome science, bioprocess engineering and R&D. Moreover, a new business structure will ensure a more targeted go-to-market strategy.
DuPont Nutrition & Biosciences will serve customers through three market-driven platforms: Food & Beverage, Health & Bioscience and Pharma Solutions. These focused platforms will better serve customers in specialty food, healthcare, pharma, household and personal care, animal nutrition and biotechnology sectors with a clear end-market customer approach. The business platforms will have a distinct positioning in the market that will enhance market visibility, insights, customer intimacy and drive overall business growth.
The new Nutrition & Biosciences business will be headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark, and led by DuPont Nutrition & Biosciences President Matthias Heinzel.
After combining, the new Nutrition & Biosciences business reported 2018 revenue of $6.2 billion, with over 10,000 employees, 70 manufacturing sites and 25 innovation centers across the globe. [APBN]
